ePN to Issue Reimbursements in Response to eBay’s Site Outage on August 23, 2013

ebayMobile Shortly before midnight, Pacific Time on Thursday, August 22 through 6:00 am, Friday, August 23, 2013 PST, several eBay sites and customer service platforms around the world experienced intermittent outages. This was a result of technical issues which occurred during regularly scheduled maintenance (See here for more detail).

After giving the issue serious thought, ePN has decided to make up for possible earnings lost during the August 23, 2013 site outage for all publishers who were active in our program in August.

Many publishers who generated earnings in August will receive an adjustment in their September payment. The adjustment was calculated by taking the average earnings from the previous three Fridays (i.e., average earnings from August 2, 9, and 16) and comparing those with earnings from the day of the outage (August 23). Publishers whose previous three Friday earnings exceeded the earnings from August 23 will receive an adjustment to make up for the revenue we calculated they lost.

We understand the high expectations our community has for the eBay platform, and we sincerely regret that we did not live up to some of those expectations.

As always, we welcome your comments and suggestions. If you have questions, please Contact Us or email us at epn-cs-english@ebay.com.
